A go-cart steering wheel mounts to a bicycle headset. Forks were removed and a drum fabricated on the headset bottom end. A sheathed cable warps around the drum and connects to a center track rod. The track rod turns the front wheels through tie rods as it is pulled left or right by the cable.

Cable wraps steering drum in center of image then runs through sheathing left and right. The cable then exits the sheathing and connects to each end
of the center track rod ( seen under and behind the frame in this view ).
